Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to TheCoopHomeschool.com and The Coop Homeschool and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to The Coop Homeschool include TheCoopHomeschool.com. The Coop Homeschool website is a Blog site.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, share, and safeguard information gathered through our website (TheCoopHomeschool.com), our products and services, and via other means. It also tells you about your rights and choices with respect to your information, and how you can contact us if you have any questions or concerns. The terms “TCH,” “we,” and “us” include The Coop Homeschool, our affiliates and subsidiaries.

For example, when you contact our Customer Support Team, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. When you use our website and interact with our emails, we and our third party service providers may collect information from you through automated means, such as cookies and similar technologies. By using the website or opening emails from us, you consent to the placement of cookies and similar technologies in your browser and on emails we send to you in accordance with this Privacy Policy.     This Privacy Policy applies only to the processing of your Personal Information by SBW&F. It does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any site or service to which the Site links. The inclusion of a link on the Site does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or by our affiliates.

    4. Security

    We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards that are intended to appropriately protect Personal Information against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the Personal Information in our possession. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and thus we cannot and do not guarantee the security of your data. It is important that you maintain the security and control of your account credentials, and not share your password with anyone.

    A. Marketing Communications

    If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications. You may also opt out from receiving commercial email from us by sending your request to us by email at admin@simplybewildandfree.com. Please be aware that, even after you opt out from receiving commercial messages from us, you may continue to receive administrative messages from us regarding the Site. 

    B. Data Protection Rights in Europe

    In certain jurisdictions you have the right to request access and receive information about the Personal Information we maintain about you, to update and correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information, to restrict or object to the processing of your Personal Information, to have the information blocked, anonymized or deleted, as appropriate, or to exercise your right to data portability to easily transfer your Personal Information to another company. If we rely on consent for the processing of your Personal Information, you have the right to withdraw it at any time and free of charge. When you do so, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before your consent withdrawal.

    SBW&F is based in the United States. Personal Information that we collect may be transferred to, and stored at, any of our affiliates, partners or service providers which may be inside or outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and Switzerland, including the United States. By submitting your personal data, you agree to such transfers.

    7. Data Retention

    We take measures to de-identify or delete Personal Information when it is no longer necessary for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When determining the retention period, we take into account various criteria, such as the type of products and services requested by or provided to you, the nature and length of our relationship with you, possible re-enrollment with our products or services, the impact of the retention period on the services we provide to you, mandatory retention periods provided by law and the statute of limitations.

    8. Use of the Site by Children

    The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of sixteen (16), and we request that they not provide personal information through the Site. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information, he or she should contact us at mamahens@thecoophomeschool.com, and we will take steps to immediately delete that information.

    We may make changes to this Privacy Policy. The “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the Site or by sending you an email or other communication. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy periodically to stay up-to-date about our privacy practices. Your continued use of the Site following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
